Resurrection Attempt [Sep. 8th, 2014|06:43 pm]
The Ineffable Game

This message is being blindly cast out into the void. I don't know who it is going to reach, or if those that it does reach will give it any heed, and I'm not holding any expectations one way or the other.

In case no one recognizes my handle from so long ago, this is (was) Urahara/Ky from back on the Ineffable Game.  Some might remember that around the time the game had ground to a halt and was breathing its final breaths, I had started an idea to give the world a reboot, to start everything over and hopefully breathe new life into what had once been a fun place to spend time.

After several years and some significant life changes, I'm finally in a position to carry through with that idea.

I have the basic concept worked out.  I'm reviewing the material I had started, redoing the parts that need to be changed, and filling in the gaps that I left unfilled.  I've got a couple of options that I'm exploring for a server (though still open to other options if anyone cares to offer).  I've even got a few new people on hook that are interested in the concept.

What I need most is you, the players from the old world.  While things are still being written, I need to know who is interested in joining, what character(s) you'd like to resurrect, and what actions they might be taking in the world shift.  I'm also interested in any input that people might like to offer on creating the new world (as well as things I'm probably forgetting from the old world).  The users are what made the game great, and I want to make sure the world I'm putting together is one that people will enjoy and be an active part of.

There are a lot of things still in progress, and I want to avoid spoilers for anyone that doesn't want to see them, especially while things are still getting nailed down.  Given that this is the first and only attempt to contact the old user base at this point, I don't know if there is enough interest to warrant getting a central community together just yet.  For now, anyone interested in jumping in should send an email to me at urahara1001@gmail.com.

Again, this message is simply being cast out openly to see who might be interested.  If you are, please send me a message with your level of interest, and you'll be welcomed into the fold.  If not, you can simply disregard this message, and there will be no hard feelings.  I hope this finds everyone doing well in their endeavors, and that I will get the opportunity to hear again from at least some of you soon.

Take Care All

Okay, there's some issue with our domain name. Until we figure out what's wrong, use this IP number to connect:

Port is the same.

Proposal and Poll [Apr. 2nd, 2008|12:02 am]
The Ineffable Game

[Current Mood |workingworking]

With the interest of injecting some fresh blood into the game and increasing our playerbase, I am proposing that we amend our Private/Invitation Only policy and make TIG a public game. Staff have already voted concerning the matter, but we would like to hear what you, the players, feel before we make any official decisions.

Poll #1164477 Proposal concerning Invitation Policy

Should The Ineffable Game be opened to the public, instead of a Private Invite Only game?

Yes, open it to everyone.
No, keep the game private.
Yes, but... (Comment please)
No, unless... (Comment please)
No opinion

ETA: For the sake of clarity and to pre-emptively answer this particular question, the staff when discussing the matter amongst ourselves have already decided on the following.

Should the proposal be approved and put into action, we will begin on a temporary basis to evaluate how things go. This would be akin to how Alt Skips work, being for a set amount of time and then looked over to determined if it should be kept or abandoned.

We have also already decided that if it does go into effect, 1st time applications for Non-Invites would be more heavily scrutinized. That way, we can still weed out the rotten apples and allow new people to come to the game at the same time.

I hope this makes a bit more sense, for people that might have been wondering.

The Ineffable Game

After checking with several people, and attempting myself, it does seem like the game's down.

More updates'll be posted as I attempt to wrangle them up.

(Sorry to anyone who attempted to IM me on the matter; I was being lazy and sleeping well into the afternoon T___T)

Server Downtime - Monday 12/10/07 [Dec. 9th, 2007|09:59 am]
The Ineffable Game

Tomorrow morning, the machine that the game runs on is being swapped out for a newer, more delicious one. Therefore, the game will be down from about 8:45AM Eastern time until, if all goes well, about 9:45/10AM. I'll make a post here when it's back up.

(Lazy copy-pasting is awesome.)
